Bill Konkel
Head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor at Voyage Martial Arts Bill Konkel began his Martial Arts training in 2005. He currently holds a Black Belt in BJJ under Master Carlos Machado. Bill has competed frequently on both the local and national levels in BJJ tournaments such as: Michigan Open, Hoosier Open, Toledo Open, NAGA, Arnold Classic and IBJJF tournaments. Bill has trained extensively with some of the best athletes in the state in other Martial Arts such as Judo, Wrestling, Mauy Thai and MMA.
Jason Wilhelmsen
Jason began training in 1995 at the RCJ Machado affiliated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Training Center in Canton, MI. After a long hiatus and eventual re-dedication to the art, he received his Black Belt from Master Carlos Machado and Professor Jamel McCurry of Cornerstone Gym in January of 2015.

Patrick Salazar
Patrick Salazar has been competing in the Michigan wrestling community since he was 12. By the age of 18 he had won over 150 matches and placed 7th in the Michigan State Finals. After High School Patrick has been coaching the Grosse Pointe South High School wrestling team for over 6 years. Training multiple state qualifiers and placers and leading his team to multiple district championships.
Dave Salazar
Dave Salazar has been on and off the wrestling mats since 2003 competing and coaching. He was a part of the most winningest team to ever go through Grosse Pointe North’s Wrestling program and racked up over 100 wins in just two seasons. Since he has been coaching at GPS High School the team has excelled to several championships, training multiple state qualifiers, and growing the once fledgling program back to excellence.
